Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Manny Ribera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 44 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Kotaro Fuma!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribera closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fuma to the mat! Fuma manages to get full guard.
Ribera engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Ribera wants to pass the guard but Fuma is keeping the position.
Ribera works over Fuma with some ground and pound from guard.
Ribera lands a couple of digs.
Ribera gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Ribera takes the fight into the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ribera tightens his grip and picks Fuma up, before dumping him to the ground. Fuma manages to land in guard.
Ribera is working Fuma over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ribera lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Fuma can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ribera controls the pace.
Ribera tries to free his leg and advance position but Fuma is retaining full guard.
Ribera slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Ribera lands a couple of digs.
Ribera controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Ribera sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fuma's guard.
Ribera uses his free foot to push down on Fuma's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fuma.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fuma is in a horrible position here. Ribera smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ribera is landing with some decent strikes but Fuma is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Ribera connects with a bit shot that sees Fuma covering up! More strikes from Ribera and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Ribera is our winner by TKO!
