Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luke Fluke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark Pineda!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pineda stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Fluke.
Pineda ducks under a wild hook from Fluke.
Fluke with a nice cross.
Fluke doesn't manage to clinch there - Pineda circles away.
Pineda drops his hands momentarily and Fluke takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fluke fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Fluke lands a jab to Pineda's midsection.
Fluke throws a right and a left that Pineda avoids nicely.
Fluke throws a big shot that misses.
Fluke tries to clinch but Pineda is having none of it.

Fluke throws a jab when Pineda was well out of range.
Fluke misses with a straight right.
Pineda uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fluke.
Fluke with a body punch. A glancing blow.
A slapping body kick lands there for Fluke.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Pineda tries to break free but Fluke pushes him back against the cage.
Pineda is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Fluke wants to stall.

Fluke scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Fluke misses with a punch on the inside.
Pineda has had enough of the clinch but Fluke keeps him there for the moment.
Pineda is trying to force a seperation but Fluke has the dominant position.
Pineda wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fluke has him pressed against the cage.
Pineda takes a shot to the head.
Fluke swings wildly with an uppercut but Pineda uses good head movement to avoid it.

Pineda manages to break the clinch.
Pineda takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Fluke looks to land a body kick but Pineda moved away.
Fluke is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fluke looks to score with a jab to the body but Pineda is just out of range.

Fluke scores with a leg kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Fluke misses the target.
Fluke throws a half hearted mid kick.
Fluke fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pineda has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Fluke throws a front kick that sends Pineda stumbling back into the cage.
Fluke lands with an overhand left.
Pineda avoids the body shot from Fluke.
Fluke throws a hook but Pineda avoids it easily.

Pineda takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A chopping leg kick lands by Fluke.
Pineda scores with a hook to the body. Fluke takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Pineda waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fluke.

A head kick misses from Fluke.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fluke thows a body kick. Pineda tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Fluke throws a low kick but it's checked well by Pineda.
Fluke misses with a straight left.
A solid leg kick lands there for Fluke.
Fluke misses with a low kick as Pineda jumps back.
Fluke fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Fluke scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Fluke thows a body shot but no joy.
Fluke lands with a nice body punch.
Luke Fluke is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fluke misses with a hook.
Fluke throws a hook to the side of Pineda's head but Pineda sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fluke throws a leg kick which misses Pineda's front leg but catches the back leg as Pineda tries to avoid it.
Fluke connects with a body shot that sends Pineda's belly button to the back.
Luke Fluke is winning the standup battle so far.
Fluke scoring well with a low kick there.

Pineda takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
The fighters circling - Fluke throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Fluke throws a leg kick that is checked

and Pineda decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fluke's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fluke preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Pineda loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Pineda passes Fluke's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Fluke is pressing down on Pineda's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Pineda is looking to take a break and control but Fluke is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Pineda looks to land a strike but Fluke avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Fluke seems keen to control Pineda's posture.
Fluke bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pineda's guard.
Fluke seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fluke wants to stand and escape but instead Pineda has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Fluke keeping moving, preventing Pineda from controlling successfully.
Fluke manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pineda manages to get himself to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pineda looking for a guillotine here but Fluke defends easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Fluke throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Pineda takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Pineda wants to take a breather but Fluke is having none of it.
Fluke wants to get back to his feet.

Pineda is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Pineda is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fluke sees it coming and defends easily.
Fluke is pressing down on Pineda's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Pineda throws an elbow that misses. Fluke uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pineda's guard. Nice move by Fluke!

Mark Pineda has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Fluke is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Fluke thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pineda's head.

Fluke wants to stand up but Pineda has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fluke decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Fluke moves to clinch but Pineda breaks away

and Pineda counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Pineda misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Mark Pineda.
I think Fluke has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
