Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dragon Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randall McMurphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McMurphy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I own Golly God.. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dragon Slayer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Randall McMurphy!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slayer scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Slayer closes the distance and pushes McMurphy back into the cage.
Slayer tries to work over McMurphy's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A right hook to the body lands for Slayer.
Slayer looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Slayer lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt McMurphy or not.
Slayer lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
McMurphy tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
A right hook to the body lands for Slayer.

It looks like Randall McMurphy has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Slayer tries to throw a body punch but McMurphy avoids it by throwing Slayer back against the cage.

McMurphy is trying to pull guard but Slayer has him pressed against the cage.

McMurphy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. McMurphy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

McMurphy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Slayer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Slayer stands and throws McMurphy's legs to the side, diving into side control.
McMurphy manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Slayer is trying to control. McMurphy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Slayer tries to pass the half guard into mount. McMurphy knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

McMurphy is looking to control Slayer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McMurphy avoid being mounted?
Well, if Slayer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Slayer prevents McMurphy from improving his position.
McMurphy is controlling Slayer's trapped leg to prevent Slayer from advancing to side control.
Slayer is taking a breather. McMurphy says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dragon Slayer.
Slayer tries to score with a low kick but McMurphy moves his leg out of the way.
Slayer looks to land a right hand but McMurphy moved out of range.
McMurphy fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Slayer lands with a kick to the temple. McMurphy shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Slayer has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from McMurphy.
McMurphy fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
McMurphy cracks Slayer with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McMurphy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Slayer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Slayer throws a poor cross that misses

and McMurphy decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Slayer's guard.

Slayer controls McMurphy momentarily but McMurphy frees himself.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dragon Slayer will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Randall McMurphy's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

McMurphy throws a low kick, looking for Slayer's leg but Slayer calmly moves out of range.

Slayer throws an overhand right that lands on McMurphy's shoulder, as McMurphy tries to avoid the shot.
Slayer connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Sloppy strikes from Slayer. Those never looked like landing.
Slayer scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Slayer throws a half hearted mid kick.
Slayer throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
McMurphy connects with a single shot there.

Slayer throws a head kick but McMurphy moves out of range.

Slayer scores with a nice head shot.
Slayer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McMurphy.

McMurphy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Slayer moves away.
McMurphy throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

McMurphy pushes Slayer up against the cage in a clinch.
Slayer lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Slayer lands with a light punch inside.
Slayer lands with a left to the head.
Slayer stalls.
McMurphy blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
McMurphy jumps guard but Slayer stands there with McMurphy around his waist. McMurphy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

McMurphy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Slayer manages to avoid it.
Slayer's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Slayer duly obliges.
McMurphy throws a lazy right hand but Slayer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Slayer on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McMurphy. McMurphy obviously looking to wear him down.
Slayer throws a body punch but McMurphy moves out of range.
McMurphy throws a sloppy head kick and Slayer moves out of range easily.
Slayer throws a series of punches but McMurphy avoids them all with ease.
A combination from Slayer does no damage.
McMurphy scores with a sloppy right hand. Slayer should have avoided that one.

McMurphy fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Slayer is out of range.
Nice straight punches there by McMurphy. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of McMurphy.
McMurphy takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

McMurphy lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Slayer looks to throw the jab but McMurphy is out of range.

McMurphy misses with an uppercut.
Slayer throws a leg kick which misses McMurphy's front leg but catches the back leg as McMurphy tries to avoid it.
Slayer throws a right hand that McMurphy ducks under and follows up with a left that McMurphy also avoids with ease.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dragon Slayer will probably get the nod.

McMurphy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

McMurphy's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Slayer throws a quick head kick that skims the top of McMurphy's head.

McMurphy is looking to land body kicks.
McMurphy throws a half hearted mid kick.
McMurphy dodges the punch combination from Slayer.
Slayer throws a front kick aimed at McMurphy's knee but McMurphy avoids it well.
Randall McMurphy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

McMurphy fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Slayer has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Slayer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Slayer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Slayer will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Slayer is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Slayer lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Slayer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McMurphy shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Dragon Slayer showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Slayer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
