Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shogan Aye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin Oldz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robin Oldz will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shogan Aye!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robin Oldz!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oldz tries to clinch up but Aye circles away and keeps his distance.

Oldz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Aye to score an easy takedown into full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Oldz looking for a sweep. Not yet Oldz, not yet.

Aye postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Oldz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Aye, into his guard.
Oldz wants to stand but Aye is controlling his posture from full guard.
Oldz is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Aye has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Oldz is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Aye.

Aye tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Oldz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Oldz wants to control but Aye is keeping him busy.
Aye is looking to reverse the position.

Oldz decides to stand back up.
Oldz is looking to clinch but Aye is avoiding it.
Oldz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Aye swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Aye closes this distance looking for a takedown but Oldz circles away.

Aye closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Oldz quickly recovers to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Oldz is trying to stand back up but Aye is controlling him
Oldz is looking for a sweep. Aye is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Oldz tries to kick Aye off but Aye keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Robin Oldz hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Aye.
Oldz works the jab nicely.
Aye fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Oldz avoids it really well and circles away.

Oldz wants to get up but he can't break Aye's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Shogan Aye has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Oldz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Aye is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Oldz controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Oldz decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
