Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Malcolm Dantes!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dantes throws a jab when Gold was well out of range.
Gold avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dantes keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gold.
Gold displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dantes throws out the jab.
Gold scores with a jab.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gold lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Dantes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Dantes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Dantes jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Gold throws a nice head kick!
Dantes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gold can pounce on him.
Gilbert Gold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gold scores with a spinning back kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dantes looks to throw the jab but Gold is out of range.
Gold buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Gold lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Dantes takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Gold connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Dantes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gold. Gold circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Dantes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gold can pounce on him.
Dantes looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gold connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Dantes on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Gold, right into the meat.
Gold connects with a combination that backs up Dantes into the cage. Gold lands a flurry of punches that gets past Dantes's guard. Dantes is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Gold bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gilbert Gold!
Gilbert Gold decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
