The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba moves in looking to clinch but Tanho pushes him off.

Tanho closes the distance and clinches.
Sakuraba can't get the takedown.

Tanho gets control of Sakuraba's arms and successfully pulls guard. Tanho will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Tanho escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sakuraba gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sakuraba has gone for a leg lock! Tanho slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sakuraba's guard.
Tanho pushes down on Sakuraba's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Sakuraba is staying active underneath Tanho, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Sakuraba is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Tanho is tapping! Great win for Sakuraba!
