The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunner wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Jones shoots for a takedown but Gunner saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jones scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gunner avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones.
Jones scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gunner on the ground.

Gunner is looking to escape.
Gunner is trying to maintain the position but Jones is very close to passing his half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jones working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Gunner is rocked!
Jones lands a big elbow - Gunner is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Jones!

A relieved looking Rome Jones thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
