Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Mayhem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paddy Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Joxer goes to Stuttgart. John Mayhem has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Mayhem! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paddy Power! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Mayhem misses. Mayhem throws an overhand right that lands on Power's shoulder, as Power tries to avoid the shot. Mayhem ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Power moves away. Mayhem swinging wilding here.
Power throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Mayhem gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Mayhem breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Power shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Power blocks the strikes from Mayhem.
Power is looking for a kimura but Mayhem is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Power to get the leverage. Mayhem keeping control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Power is keen to just control but Mayhem is a slippery customer. Mayhem keeping hold of Power's head, controlling as best he can. Power is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mayhem is looking to improve his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mayhem throws a left and a right that both miss
and Power counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mayhem won't be happy with that. Mayhem regains half guard there - taking advantage of Power's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Mayhem is trying to maintain the position but Power is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mayhem avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Power. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Power is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mayhem defends it well. Mayhem controlling the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paddy Power dominated that round. That's time! Mayhem's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Power takes a body punch but keeps moving. Mayhem moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Power will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Mayhem!
It looks like Paddy Power has been cut. Mayhem throws a combination that misses and Power counters with a big head kick but Mayhem shrugs it off. Mayhem clinches with his opponent.

Mayhem throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mayhem tries to bum rush Power with a series of wild strikes but Power uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Mayhem tests Power's chin there with a solid looking shot. Power takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mayhem connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Power is breathing heavily. Mayhem tries a head kick but it misses.
John Mayhem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Power gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Power is controlling Mayhem's posture. Power utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Power working for submissions but it's allowed Mayhem to get to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mayhem throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mayhem changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Power looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Mayhem controlling the position from side mount. Mayhem decides to stand up, so the ref orders Power to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mayhem fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Power gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mayhem counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Power's guard now. Mayhem showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Power is looking for a triangle but Mayhem pushes his legs off easily.
John Mayhem overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Power trying to control the position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mayhem sitting in guard here, content to control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mayhem throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Power works some decent striking defense from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Mayhem dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Paddy Power's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Power on the wrong end of a nice hook. John Mayhem is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mayhem fails in his attempt to clinch. Mayhem swings away with a leg kick that misses. Mayhem shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mayhem showed some decent athleticism there. Power is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Mayhem pulls his head out easily. Mayhem tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Power. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mayhem thows a huge punch but Power dodges it nicely.
Power tries to roll over but Mayhem keeps him under control. Mayhem seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mayhem stops Power from getting back to his feet.
Well, if Mayhem is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power taking some punishment here, with Mayhem in his half guard. Mayhem sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Power defending well though. Mayhem scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Mayhem slows the pace down in half guard. Paddy Power has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mayhem tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Power. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mayhem passes to side control.
And that's the end of the fight! John Mayhem showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mayhem has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
