The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luther closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Dator trying to control but Luther flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Dator wants to control his opponent's hands but Luther gets his hands free.
Luther is striking from the back but Dator escapes and manages to recover to half guard.

Dator on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dator tries to get out of the position.
Dator is positioning himself well to prevent Luther advancing to mount.

Luther is stalling here. Dator is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Luther seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Dator has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luther is not content to let Dator control the position.
Dator wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Luther, who protects the arm well.

Luther is looking to improve his position but Dator isn't that keen on the idea.

Dator jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Luther is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Luther and Dator has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Luther wants to control but Dator postures up.
Luther on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Luther tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dator wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Dator thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dator working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Dator is looking to take a break and control but Luther is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Luther really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dator. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Luther is looking for a sweep.
Dator wants to stand but Luther has his arm trapped.
Dator wants to lay and pray for a moment but Luther keeps working.

Luther parries the strikes from Dator easily there. Dator is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Luther to escape.
Luther wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Dator seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Luther is tapping! Wow, great finish!
