Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mehmet Sirovica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Flint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sirovica kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is last mohacian. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mehmet Sirovica!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Flint!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sirovica throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Flint.
Flint tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sirovica avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Flint fails with an attempt to clinch.
Flint tries to clinch but Sirovica is having none of it.

Sirovica closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Flint can't break the clinch.
Flint wants to get back to striking at distance but Sirovica won't allow it.

Sirovica is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Flint keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Sirovica wants to work for an arm triangle but Flint is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sirovica lands a nice short elbow.

Flint really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sirovica. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sirovica is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Flint doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sirovica.

Flint pushes Sirovica off looking to stand but Sirovica dives back in and keeps control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Flint can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Flint pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sirovica avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Flint takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Sirovica is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Flint misses with a hook. Sirovica ducked under it nicely.

Sirovica tries to score a body lock takedown but Flint shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Flint tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Sirovica counters with a head kick. That will keep Flint thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Sirovica bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Sirovica has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Flint is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Flint wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Sirovica jumps into guard, dragging Flint to the mat.
Sirovica is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sirovica has his foot on Flint's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Flint works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sirovica is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sirovica tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Flint is looking to stand up but Sirovica won't let him.

Sirovica escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Flint gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Flint tries to stand but Sirovica is controlling from the bottom.

Sirovica working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Flint doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Flint manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Flint wants to get up but he can't break Sirovica's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Sirovica is pushing down on Flint's leg trying to pass to half guard. Flint is fighting to maintain full guard but Sirovica has managed to sneak the leg through.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Flint is controlling an arm, preventing Sirovica from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Well Sirovica has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
