The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Showtime tries to clinch but Jackson is having none of it.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jackson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jackson tries for a kimura but Showtime is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Showtime is looking to regain half guard here but Jackson keeps moving and retains side control.
Showtime is working hard here to advance position.
Showtime on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Showtime tries to get out of the position.
Jackson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson tries to move to mount but Showtime blocks the move with his legs.

Showtime tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Jackson trying to control the position but Showtime is working away.
Jackson has hold of Showtime's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Showtime tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Jackson cranks the arm and Showtime screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Showtime, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
