Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rey Mesterio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mesterio comes into the arena with Be A Warrior blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rey Mesterio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Josh Moore!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mesterio moves into the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Mesterio can't get the takedown.
Mesterio has Moore pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mesterio pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Moore tumbling to the mat - Mesterio dives into Moore's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Mesterio loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Mesterio has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Moore is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mesterio got a little sloppy there for a moment and Moore has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mesterio has managed to get both his arms back between Moore's legs - danger averted.

Moore not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Moore tries to advance to mount but Mesterio denies him.

Moore decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mesterio to his feet.
Moore avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mesterio instigates a clinch.
Moore wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mesterio has him pressed against the cage.
Moore tries to pull guard but Mesterio won't allow it.
Mesterio jumps guard.
Moore pushes down on Mesterio's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Moore with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Mesterio won't allow Moore to pass to mount.
Moore wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mesterio keeps working.
Mesterio has hold of Moore's hands but Moore slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Moore seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Mesterio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Moore on the ground.
Moore is taking a breather. Mesterio says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Moore scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Moore wants to work for an arm triangle but Mesterio is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Moore keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Moore dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Moore misses with a wild body shot.
Moore thows a left - swing and a miss!
Mesterio avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mesterio tries to close the distance and clinch up but Moore swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mesterio has his takedown stuffed
and Moore counters with a crisp one two that drops Mesterio! Moore thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Mesterio to his feet! Mesterio is in big trouble!
Rey Mesterio is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
This has been an exciting period of action!
BAM! Moore delivers a spinning backfist that drops Mesterio like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
