Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Tappelija looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tappelija throws a series of punches but Badaoui moves out of range.
Tappelija misses with a body kick.
Badaoui throws a right hand that Tappelija ducks under and follows up with a left that Tappelija also avoids with ease.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Badaoui and Tappelija goes tumbling to the canvas! Badaoui follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
It looks like Tauno Tappelija has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

No joy there for Badaoui, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Badaoui ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Tappelija is breathing heavily.
Tappelija takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Badaoui gets a double leg takedown into Tappelija's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tappelija is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Badaoui has hold of Tappelija's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Tappelija tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Badaoui cranks the arm and Tappelija screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Tappelija, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
