The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lom throws a wild body kick that Vanhood sees coming a mile off.
Vanhood lunges at Lom with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lom's hand.

Vanhood misses with a takedown attempt - Lom sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lom cracks Vanhood with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Lom lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Vanhood at a distance.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Vanhood thows a body shot but no joy.
Lom scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Vanhood doesn't seem bothered though.

Lom throws a right and a left that Vanhood avoids nicely.
Lom sends Vanhood crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Lom is motioning to the referee to let Vanhood up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Lom scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Robin Vanhood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lom misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Lom! Vanhood is out on his feet! Lom rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Vanhood is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Vanhood is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
