The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pegas takes one on the chin but seems OK.
It looks like Jon Pegas has been cut.

Sven Liljedahl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Liljedahl swings for the body but Pegas moves out of range.

and Pegas holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Liljedahl misses with a hook to the ribs.
Pegas is trying to force a seperation but Liljedahl has the dominant position.
Pegas lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Liljedahl misses with a hook to the ribs.
Pegas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Liljedahl lands a lovely overhand right.
Liljedahl throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Liljedahl lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

and Liljedahl counters with a nice uppercut.
Pegas takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Pegas is breathing heavily.
Liljedahl takes a swing at Pegas's ribcage but misses.
Pegas tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Liljedahl misses with a wild body shot.
Pegas dodges the punch combination from Liljedahl.
Pegas throws a low kick, looking for Liljedahl's leg but Liljedahl calmly moves out of range.
A thudding body kick lands there by Pegas!

A slapping leg kick lands for Liljedahl.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Liljedahl! Pegas is out on his feet! Liljedahl rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Pegas is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Pegas is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
