Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Rocket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickie Lambert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Rocket! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rickie Lambert! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rocket fails with a takedown attempt. Lambert manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rocket on his heels. He'll look to pass Rocket's guard now, I'm sure. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Rocket controlling Lambert's posture. Lambert must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lambert trying to control the position from guard on top but Rocket is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rocket working for a triangle but Lambert defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lambert working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rocket's head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lambert accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lambert working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Rocket trying to keep a closed guard but Lambert is proving a slippery customer.
Lambert postures up and lands a big shot to Rocket's brow. Rocket escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lambert gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Lambert stands up from Rocket's guard - Lambert perhaps looking for a knockout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lambert shoots in looking for a takedown. Rocket tries to sprawl out of it but Lambert keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rocket manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rocket defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lambert. Lambert misses with a series of wild punches.

Rocket displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lambert. Lambert misses with a takedown attempt - Rocket sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lambert tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rocket sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lambert somewhat. Lambert shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rocket's guard. Lambert looks winded! Rocket wants to sweep here but Lambert controlling him for the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rocket is trying to keep Lambert in close.

Rickie Lambert dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Lambert shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rocket eats them both and turns towards Lambert to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Lambert misses with the combination.
Lambert shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rocket but Rocket pushes him off and we're back to square one. Rocket closes the distance and clinches up with Lambert, looking for a takedown. Rocket pushes Lambert against the cage but Lambert circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lambert looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Rocket has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lambert is working away from the top position though. Rocket is controlling Lambert's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lambert looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rocket with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Lambert blocks the strikes from Rocket.
Rocket is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rickie Lambert has got the better of the ground game so far. Lambert throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Lambert looks up at the clock and then as Rocket takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lambert smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Lambert throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rocket works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lambert chips away with some ground and pound. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lambert pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rocket is keeping the position for now. Lambert throws an elbow that misses. Rocket uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lambert's guard. Nice move by Rocket! Rocket wants to get up but he can't break Lambert's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lambert avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rocket tries to stand but Lambert is controlling from the bottom. Rocket lands a couple of digs. Rocket in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rocket trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rocket content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Rickie Lambert will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

That's better than Lambert was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! You can see the frustration on Rocket's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Rocket is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lambert off and has taken his back! Rocket looking to break Lambert's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Lambert remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Rocket will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Lambert is keeping busy.
Lambert just trying to survive but Rocket is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Lambert takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Even with his hooks in, Rocket manages to miss with strikes from the back. Rocket has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Rocket trying to control momentarily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A bit of a pause in the action here. Rocket controlling the positon.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Rickie Lambert. Well Lambert has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
