Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mike Massa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tekito Tumoko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Massa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tekito Tumoko! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Massa thows a left - swing and a miss! Tumoko darts in trying to clinch and Massa counters with a single leg into guard. Tumoko didn't expect that. Massa's corner is telling him to maintain position. Massa prevents Tumoko from getting back to his feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Mike Massa just wasn't active enough. Tumoko tries to clinch and Massa counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Massa takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Tumoko is looking to escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Massa content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

We're going to have a standup here because Mike Massa wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Tumoko tries to clinch but Massa moves out of range. Massa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tumoko looks to clinch and Massa counters with a single leg into guard. Tumoko didn't expect that. Massa advances position into side control! Massa happy to just control the position for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tumoko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Massa swats him away and circles back towards the center. Massa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tumoko moves away. Tumoko tries to clinch up. Tumoko tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Tumoko wants to clinch but Massa slips to the side and Tumoko takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Tumoko looks to clinch so Massa counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Massa trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tumoko wants to stand and escape but Massa is having none of it. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A kick lands to the mid section there for Massa. Tumoko fails in his attempt to clinch. Tumoko tries to grapple but his opponent circles enabling Massa to counter with a crisp jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tumoko tries to clinch letting Massa counter with a right hand. Massa circles away from the clinch attempt.

Mike Massa dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Massa keeps the fight on the outside. Massa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tumoko wants to clinch but Massa slips to the side and Massa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Tekito Tumoko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tumoko wants to clinch. Tumoko darts in trying to clinch so Massa counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Massa is stalling in the full guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Mike Massa wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Tumoko moves to clinch but Massa breaks away and Massa counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Tumoko! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee asks Massa politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Massa prefers to stall for the moment though. Massa has knee on belly and moves into mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Tumoko wants to clinch and Massa counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Massa is controlling the pace.

Tumoko is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Tumoko tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Massa counters with a nice uppercut. Massa has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Tumoko has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Massa circles away from the clinch attempt and Massa counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Massa. Tumoko tries a body shot but Massa blocks it.

And that's the end of the fight! Mike Massa showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Massa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
