Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joey Acevedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cezar Comando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joey Acevedo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cezar Comando!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Comando shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Acevedo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Acevedo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Comando slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Comando lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Acevedo gets back to half guard.
Comando perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
It looks like Comando might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Acevedo is looking for a sweep. Comando is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Cezar Comando wasn't active enough on the ground.

Acevedo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Comando as he avoids it easily.
Acevedo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Comando avoids it really well and circles away.

Comando shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Acevedo is trying to defend but Comando finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Comando working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Acevedo's thigh. Acevedo counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Acevedo has control of Comando's left arm, preventing Comando from doing any damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Comando postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Acevedo is on top in guard.
Comando wants to get back to his feet but Acevedo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Comando has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Acevedo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Acevedo shoots for a double leg takedown but Comando sprawls well. He's pushed Acevedo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Acevedo moves in looking to clinch but Comando pushes him off.

Comando closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Comando shoots in and bounces Acevedo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Comando decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Acevedo shoots in looking for a takedown. Comando tries to sprawl out of it but Acevedo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Comando manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Comando fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Acevedo sprawls well initially but Comando persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Comando is trying to control. Acevedo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Comando really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Acevedo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Acevedo gets tackled into the cage by Comando. Comando maintains the clinch.

Comando manages to pull guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Acevedo slips nicely into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Comando can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cezar Comando has got the better of the ground game so far.

Acevedo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Comando does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Comando changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Acevedo tries to avoid it but Comando manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Acevedo to the ground. Acevedo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Comando has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Acevedo clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Acevedo looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Acevedo is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Comando gets his way!

Comando avoids the attempt from Acevedo to control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Comando goes for an armbar but Acevedo turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Acevedo.

I would just about give that final round to Cezar Comando.
I've got Comando winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
