Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Gonzales !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hanz Goring !
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Goring but Goring pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jab, jab by Goring - just one landing.
It looks like Michael Gonzales has been cut.
Gonzales is looking to clinch but Goring is avoiding it.
Gonzales tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Goring moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Gonzales goes down! Can Goring finish him!?
Gonzales is rocked!
Goring thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Goring is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gonzales is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gonzales has escaped and now he's on top!
Gonzales sitting in guard here, content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Goring looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Gonzales passes into half guard.
Gonzales looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Goring with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Gonzales thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Goring 's head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Goring actively working from the bottom here.

Goring wants to get back to full guard.
Gonzales controlling the pace.
Gonzales is trying to control the action in half guard but Goring is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Gonzales stands up and beckons Goring to join him on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Goring . No joy for Gonzales on that attempt.
Gonzales throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Goring 's waist but Goring gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gonzales off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Gonzales . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Goring looks to throw the jab but Gonzales is out of range.
Goring misses with a straight left.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Goring missing with a left hand there. Gonzales was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Goring pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Gonzales swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Gonzales will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Goring drops Gonzales with a straight right hand, right on the button! Goring follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
