Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean Ben Faur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Placido Casido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Faur's entrance music is remember the name. A fine choice. Placido Casido told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jean Ben Faur! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Placido Casido! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Casido moves into range and clinches up with Ben Faur. Ben Faur escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ben Faur avoids the body shot from Casido.
Casido closes the distance and clinches. Casido has picked Ben Faur up - he's going for a ride! Casido dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Casido wants to pass to mount but Ben Faur is defending the position. Ben Faur is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Casido is trying to work for a kimura but Ben Faur is defending well.

Casido is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ben Faur is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Casido trying to control from Ben Faur's half guard. Ben Faur has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Casido wants to pass the guard but Ben Faur is keeping the position. Casido preventing the sweep. Casido not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ben Faur looking to control.
Casido pushes down on Ben Faur's leg and manages to get into half guard. Casido passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Casido wants to take Ben Faur's back here but Ben Faur is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Casido is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ben Faur can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Casido has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ben Faur's face.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Casido is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Ben Faur to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ben Faur shrugs it off. Casido is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ben Faur has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ben Faur! Casido looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Casido looking for a triangle here. Ben Faur is fighting it but it looks tight! Casido pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Ben Faur is tapping out - this one is all over!
