Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rome Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dino Gunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Eminem & Royce Da 5'9 - Above the Law . Rome Jones has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rome Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dino Gunner! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Jones takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A jab from Jones misses. Gunner scores with a one two! Jones had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Jones takes one to the chin there. Nice uppercut lands for Gunner. That snapped Jones's head back.
Jones takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gunner sprawls well. Gunner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jones checks the leg kick. Jones throws a series of punches but Gunner avoids them all with ease. Gunner stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rome Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gunner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Gunner shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Gunner. Gunner lands a slapping body shot.
Gunner fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Jones is looking to clinch but Gunner is avoiding it.
Rome Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Jones tries to move to mount but Gunner blocks the move with his legs. Gunner pushes Jones away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jones gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Gunner managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Jones.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gunner parries the strikes from Jones easily there. Jones is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Gunner to escape.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gunner can do anything to dispel that myth. Jones tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Jones creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Gunner sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones cracks Gunner with a big right hand but Gunner just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Gunner wants to control but Jones postures up. Jones looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Gunner is avoiding damage well.
Jones throws a strike aimed at the side of Gunner's head but Gunner avoids it well. Jones cracks Gunner with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Jones immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Gunner is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Jones!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rome Jones! Rome Jones decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
