Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Henry Ball! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fred Baggins! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baggins throws a series of punches but Ball avoids them all with ease. Ball tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Baggins swivels and escapes. Baggins bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Ball avoids the body shot from Baggins.
Baggins just misses with a punch to the body.
Baggins fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ball manages to avoid it. Ball takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Baggins scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Ball is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Baggins. Baggins misses with a two punch combination.
Baggins throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ball stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ball throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Baggins. Baggins lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Henry Ball has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baggins scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Baggins is looking to chop away at Ball's legs. Baggins shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ball eats them both and turns towards Baggins to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. A slow jab from Ball misses its intended target. Ball lands a jab to the head.
A big left from Ball misses. Baggins moves away from the strike by Ball. Ball misses with a hook. Fred Baggins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Baggins feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Balls jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Baggins misses with a wild body shot. Baggins with a body punch. A glancing blow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A shot to the liver by Baggins. Beautiful body shot. Baggins cracks Ball with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ball looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Baggins finish him?
Ball is rocked! Baggins connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Ball covering up! Baggins comes in with a big uppercut and Ball goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Fred Baggins! During a confident post fight interview, Fred Baggins thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
