Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Hendrickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valot Pois (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendrickson shoots in for a takedown but Pois shows good takedown defense.
Pois swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hendrickson tries to clinch up but Pois circles away and keeps his distance.
Pois throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hendrickson.
Hendrickson shoots in but Pois avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hendrickson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pois is fending him off so far but Hendrickson persists. Nope, Pois circles away and we're back to standing.

Oooh a lovely combination from Pois sends Hendrickson down but not out. Pois dives into side control looking to finish.

Pois stands up and beckons Hendrickson to his feet.
Pois should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Pois cracks Hendrickson with an uppercut from hell and Hendrickson crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Pois's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Hendrickson is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pois looks gassed!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Hendrickson thuds his shin into the meat of Pois's side.
Hendrickson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Valot Pois is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hendrickson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hendrickson fails to land the takedown.
Pois swings for the body but Hendrickson moves out of range.

A head kick misses from Hendrickson.
Pois throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Pois throws a right and a left that Hendrickson avoids nicely.

Hendrickson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pois looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hendrickson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pois's waist but Pois gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hendrickson off to one side.

Pois throws a series of punches but Hendrickson moves out of range.
Hendrickson misses with a takedown attempt - Pois sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Pois scores with a nice right hand.

The fighters circling - Pois throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hendrickson explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Valot Pois seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hendrickson goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Pois throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Hendrickson colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Pois as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Hendrickson is left battered and dazed whilst Pois and his camp cheer!
