Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charles Whitman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grant Fortune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Whitman's entrance music is Welcome To The Jungle. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Charles Whitman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Grant Fortune! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whitman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fortune sees it coming and avoids it easily. Whitman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fortune manages to avoid it. Whitman jabbing away but nothing is landing. Whitman lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Whitman tries to score with a low kick but Fortune moves his leg out of the way. Whitman buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Whitman explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. A swing and a miss from Whitman. Whitman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fortune moves out of range as Whitman throws a body kick.
Whitman lands with a shot to the body. Whitman lands a jab-cross combination. Whitman keeps Fortune at a distance using the push kick. Whitman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A shot to the liver by Whitman. Beautiful body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fortune uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Whitman.
Fortune defending well as Whitman loads up on a big left hand. Whitman connects with a nice looking jab.
Whitman tries to score with a low kick but Fortune moves his leg out of the way. Whitman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Whitman avoids the head kick by Fortune.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Whitman checks a leg kick. Whitman throws a hook but Fortune blocks it. Whitman scores with a jab to the body. A slapping body kick lands there for Whitman. Whitman misses with a low kick. Whitman ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Charles Whitman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fortune has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Fortune there as he acknowledges the shot. Fortune takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Whitman with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Fortune takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Whitman motions for Fortune to come forward. Whitman throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A solid leg kick lands there for Whitman.
Whitman blocks a low kick nicely. Fortune throws a low kick but Whitman avoids it. Fortune moves out of range of the body kick. Whitman misses with an uppercut. Fortune saw that one coming. Whitman misses with a wild body shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Whitman. Fortune does a little dance to reset his feet. Fortune blocks a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whitman throws a big shot that misses. Whitman misses with a body kick. Fortune shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Fortune was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Whitman manages to work his way to half guard, despite Fortune's best efforts. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Whitman is looking for a sweep. Fortune is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Fortune throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Fortune throwing shots but Whitman is blocking nicely. Whitman makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Whitman. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Whitman holds on and takes a little breather. Whitman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Whitman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fortune postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We're going to have a standup here because Charles Whitman wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Whitman lands a leg kick that knocks Fortune off balance momentarily. Whitman throws a big shot that misses. Fortune avoids the head kick by Whitman.

Whitman thows a body shot but no joy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Whitman swinging wildly here.
Left hook, right uppercut from Whitman. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charles Whitman dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Fortune shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Whitman but Whitman pushes him off and we're back to square one. The fighters circling - Whitman throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A looping hook to the body misses from Whitman. Fortune does a little dance to reset his feet. Whitman lands a nice hook to Fortune's body. Fortune takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Fortune on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Whitman throws a head kick that misses. Whitman throws out a loose jab but Fortune uses good head movement to avoid it. Charles Whitman is winning the standup battle so far. Fortune avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Whitman wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Whitman feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fortunes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Whitman throws a leg kick but Fortune moved away. Fortune fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whitman looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Whitman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Whitman lands a head kick. Fortune smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Fortune misses with a body kick. Whitman connects with a nice looking jab.
Fortune is rocked! Fortune glances at the clock... BAM! Whitman nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Fortune crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Fortune is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Charles Whitman! After winning the bout, Charles Whitman thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
