Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aziz Ansari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ansari's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, HAM. Dragon has chosen Taio Cruz-Dynamite as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aziz Ansari!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Dragon!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dragon scores with a nice right hand.

Dragon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ansari has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Ansari is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Dragon can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Dragon tries to lock up and control but Ansari gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Ansari wants to take Dragon's back here but Dragon is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Ansari postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dragon looks a forlorn figure.

Dragon tries to lock up and control but Ansari gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Dragon throws a strike but Ansari rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Ansari stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dragon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dragon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ansari is aware though and is defending well.
Dragon looking for a sweep. Not yet Dragon, not yet.
Ansari stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dragon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ansari is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dragon sees it coming and defends easily.

Dragon has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ansari is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dragon.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ansari slips a straight right by Dragon.
Dragon tries to bum rush Ansari with a series of wild strikes but Ansari uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dragon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ansari circles away quickly and effectively.
Ansari changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dragon tries to avoid it but Ansari manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dragon to the ground. Dragon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ansari throws a series of punches but Dragon avoids them all with ease.
Ansari misses with a takedown attempt - Dragon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Ansari moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Dragon scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Alex Dragon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dragon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
