Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar Baraccho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabio Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oscar Baraccho!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos tries to close the distance and clinch but Baraccho swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Baraccho looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Baraccho paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Santos tries to clinch there but Baraccho circles away.
Baraccho takes one to the chin there.
Santos goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

and Baraccho counters with a takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Baraccho prevents Santos from escaping the position.
Baraccho landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Santos pushes Baraccho away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Baraccho gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Baraccho is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Santos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Santos is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Baraccho is controlling him well.
Baraccho wants to control but Santos is keeping him busy.
Santos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Baraccho on the ground.
Santos is pushing Baraccho's head away, looking to escape. Baraccho manages to hold on to the position though.

Santos stops Baraccho from passing to mount.
Baraccho prevents Santos from escaping the position.

Baraccho is trying to get an arm triangle but Santos is defending well.
Santos pushes Baraccho away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Baraccho gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Baraccho goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Santos has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Baraccho but great work by Santos.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Santos wants to stand but Baraccho is controlling his arm.
Baraccho sneaks back into half guard.
Santos wants to stand but Baraccho has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Baraccho gets back to full guard.
Baraccho seems keen to control Santos's posture.
Baraccho is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Baraccho throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Baraccho is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Santos tries to stand but Baraccho is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Baraccho trying to keep a closed guard but Santos is proving a slippery customer.
Santos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Baraccho tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Oscar Baraccho will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Baraccho swats away the attempt to clinch by Santos.
A good leg kick by Santos.

Santos lands a left and a right that send Baraccho crashing to the mat, dazed. Santos thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Baraccho is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Santos lands with a good body shot.
Baraccho is still on wobbly legs! Can Santos finish him?
Santos really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Santos catches Baraccho with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Baraccho forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Fabio Santos!
