Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anzori Gvasalia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maikon Kelvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gvasalia comes to the cage accompanied by -MATRIX-. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anzori Gvasalia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Maikon Kelvin! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kelvin misses with a head kick.
Kelvin fails in his attempt to clinch. Gvasalia lands a jab-cross combination. Kelvin stuffs the takedown attempt from Gvasalia. Gvasalia gets slowly back to his feet. Kelvin tries to clinch up but Gvasalia circles away and keeps his distance. Gvasalia gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kelvin to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kelvin controlling from the top position. Kelvin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gvasalia swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gvasalia preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Gvasalia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kelvin on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kelvin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gvasalia works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gvasalia wants to stand but Kelvin is controlling the position. Kelvin chips away with some ground and pound. Kelvin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Maikon Kelvin was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kelvin avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gvasalia shoots in and gets a takedown into Kelvin's guard. Kelvin wants to sweep but no luck. Kelvin has control of Gvasalia's left arm, preventing Gvasalia from doing any damage. Let's hope that Kelvin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Gvasalia wants to get up but he can't break Kelvin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kelvin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kelvin lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelvin looking to finish Gvasalia with some ground and pound. This is bad for Gvasalia! Kelvin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kelvin looking to isolate an arm here. Gvasalia doesn't see it coming and as Kelvin extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Kelvin!
