The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De La Cruz misses with a series of wild punches.
De La Cruz gets tackled into the cage by Waller. Waller maintains the clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Waller drops to a knee looking for a takedown but De La Cruz gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Waller is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but De La Cruz is defending well. Waller pulls guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Waller looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Waller looking for a sweep. Not yet Waller, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. De La Cruz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Waller works some decent striking defense from the bottom. De La Cruz throws a big right hand that misses. Waller controls De La Cruz momentarily but De La Cruz frees himself. Waller tries to land a sweep but no joy. De La Cruz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as De La Cruz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Waller working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. De La Cruz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. De La Cruz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Waller is breathing heavily. De La Cruz connects with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De La Cruz wants to control from the top but Waller keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. De La Cruz keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Waller's head. De La Cruz landing with the ground and pound. De La Cruz throws a big elbow that misses. Waller preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. De La Cruz wants to control from the top but Waller keeps moving. De La Cruz wants to stand but Waller has a closed guard, so he can't escape. De La Cruz scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De La Cruz with a nice head shot there. De La Cruz wants to control from the top but Waller keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Waller uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The fight moves into the clinch position. De La Cruz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
De La Cruz dives in and grabs Waller's left leg, looking for a takedown. Waller pushes down on De La Cruz's head and hops out. De La Cruz wants to clinch. A head kick misses from Waller.
That's four minutes gone in the round. De La Cruz lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Waller fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but De La Cruz avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Waller. That's going to take a lot out of him. De La Cruz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. De La Cruz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. De La Cruz lands with a punch from half guard. De La Cruz slows the pace down in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Waller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with De La Cruz but De La Cruz pushes him off and we're back to square one. De La Cruz blocks a head kick by Waller.

Waller jumps guard but De La Cruz turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. De La Cruz gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Waller.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. De La Cruz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Waller defends well. De La Cruz tries to land a sweep but no joy. De La Cruz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Waller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Waller trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Waller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. De La Cruz manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
De La Cruz avoids the attempt from Waller to control. Waller keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Waller really wants to buck De La Cruz off and get back to his feet. Waller is desperately trying to improve his position but De La Cruz has a good base and remains in mount. De La Cruz dominating with strikes here. De La Cruz wants to control the pace but Waller is squirming around nicely. De La Cruz scores with a couple of good head shots there.
De La Cruz landing punches. De La Cruz fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Waller is in a horrible position here. De La Cruz smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. De La Cruz landing strikes from the mount and Waller is in trouble! De La Cruz lands with some strikes. De La Cruz tries to control but Waller wriggling away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. De La Cruz pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Waller is wriggling around trying to escape.
Droski De La Cruz has got the better of the ground game so far. De La Cruz content just to control the position here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Waller really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Droski De La Cruz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
De La Cruz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Waller is trying to control De La Cruz's posture but De La Cruz avoids it. De La Cruz decides to stand back up. De La Cruz steps back and let's Waller get back to his feet. Waller takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Waller fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Chris Waller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Waller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with De La Cruz but De La Cruz pushes him off and we're back to square one. Both fighters are breathing heavily. De La Cruz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Waller looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Waller is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. De La Cruz lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Waller down.
Waller struggling a bit here. De La Cruz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Waller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. De La Cruz advances to mount. De La Cruz landing strikes, looking to finish! De La Cruz landing punches. De La Cruz breaks from Waller's wrist control and lands an elbow. Waller sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. De La Cruz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Waller keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De La Cruz not landing any meaningful shots this time. Waller kicks De La Cruz off and gets back to his feet. Waller shoots for a double leg takedown but De La Cruz sprawls well. He's pushed Waller's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Waller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Waller with a poor takedown and De La Cruz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Waller not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
De La Cruz throws a big elbow that misses. De La Cruz trying to control but Waller is working from the bottom. De La Cruz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Waller haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Droski De La Cruz was stalling too much, according to the referee. De La Cruz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Waller.
Waller looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for De La Cruz! Waller decides to take the fight back to the feet. De La Cruz fails with a takedown attempt. Waller scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. De La Cruz clinches up against the cage. Waller tries to break free but De La Cruz pushes him back against the cage. De La Cruz leaning his opponent against the cage. De La Cruz is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Waller is defending well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Waller is pressed up against the cage. De La Cruz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Waller down to the mat. Waller avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
And that's the end of the fight! Droski De La Cruz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well De La Cruz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
