Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kleisthenes Sawyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gorge Kirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kleisthenes Sawyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gorge Kirk! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sawyer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Sawyer tries a head kick but it misses.
Kirk tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sawyer paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kirk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kirk swats away the attempt to clinch by Sawyer. Sawyer wants to clinch up but Kirk keeps it at a distance. Kirk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Sawyer pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Sawyer misses with a head kick.
Kirk tries to close the distance and clinch but Sawyer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sawyer fails with a takedown attempt. Sawyer is breathing heavily. Sawyer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kirk controlling from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirk throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sawyer works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kirk engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Gorge Kirk wasn't active enough on the ground. Sawyer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sawyer throws a jab when Kirk was well out of range. Kirk fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kirk blocks a head kick by Sawyer.
Sawyer throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Excellent takedown into side control there by Kirk. You can see the frustration on Sawyer's face as Kirk controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like Kirk might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Let's hope that Kirk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kirk is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Sawyer looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kirk gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Sawyer is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kirk lets go of the hold and Sawyer can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Gorge Kirk! Gorge Kirk took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
