The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norton smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Chalmers throws a lazy uppercut
letting Norton counter with a right hand.
Chalmers misses with a head kick.
No joy there for Chalmers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Norton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chalmers swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Norton lands a nice hook to Chalmers's body. Chalmers takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Norton throws a right and a left that both miss.
Norton keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Norton cracks Chalmers with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Chalmers scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Norton doesn't seem bothered though.
Chalmers throws a combination. Norton tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Chalmers lands a left and a right that send Norton crashing to the mat, dazed. Chalmers thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Norton is rocked!

Chalmers lands a big right hook! Norton looks hurt but is still standing! Chalmers lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Norton falls down and Chalmers dives in with a huge hammer fist! Norton's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Chalmers runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ron Chalmers!
During a confident post fight interview, Ron Chalmers thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
