Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marius Lozoris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Abraham Comando!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Comando has Lozoris up against the cage in a clinch.

Comando pulls Lozoris into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Comando looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Comando preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lozoris won't allow Comando to sweep him here.
Lozoris tries to free his leg and advance position but Comando is retaining full guard.
Lozoris would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Lozoris wants to control from the top but Comando keeps moving.
Lozoris wanted to stand there but Comando had control of the position.

Comando looking for a sweep. Not yet Comando, not yet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Comando throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Comando tries to clinch but fails miserably
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Comando throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Comando tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lozoris swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Comando stuffs the takedown attempt from Lozoris. Lozoris gets slowly back to his feet.
Comando rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lozoris moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Lozoris moves into range and clinches up with Comando.
Knees to the body from Comando.
Lozoris fails to pull guard.
Lozoris tries for a takedown but Comando manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marius Lozoris. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Comando.

Lozoris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Comando throws a right and a left that both miss.
Comando shoots in for a takedown but Lozoris shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Comando tries to work over Lozoris's front leg with a kick but Lozoris checks it.
Lozoris tries for a takedown but Comando sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Comando closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lozoris is breathing heavily.
Comando works his way into side control.
Lozoris prevents Comando from improving position.
Comando wants to take a breather but Lozoris manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Comando.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Comando stands and steps away. Lozoris gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Comando moves in looking to clinch but Lozoris pushes him off.
Lozoris throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Comando on the side of the head.
Lozoris misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lozoris shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Comando defends it nicely.
Nice shot lands for Comando.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lozoris wants to clinch.
Lozoris shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Comando to counter with a crisp jab.
Comando fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lozoris avoids it really well and circles away.
Comando fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A nice leg kick lands there from Lozoris.
Lozoris shoots for a double leg takedown but Comando sprawls well. He's pushed Lozoris's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Abraham Comando dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Comando tries to clinch up but Lozoris circles away and keeps his distance.
Lozoris avoids a kick to the body.

Comando gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Comando pushes Lozoris back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
The referee calls for Lozoris to work.
Comando is trying to break free.

Lozoris manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Comando decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
No joy there for Lozoris, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Marius Lozoris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lozoris shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Comando sprawls well. Comando wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lozoris gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lozoris fails to land the takedown.
Comando tries to clinch up.
Comando shoots in looking for a takedown but Lozoris manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Comando's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Comando shoots in but Lozoris avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Lozoris displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Comando.
Marius Lozoris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abraham Comando.
Comando tries to clinch but Lozoris is having none of it.
Lozoris fails with a takedown attempt.
Lozoris keeps the fight on the outside.

Lozoris clinches up with Comando and pushes him back against the cage.

Lozoris jumps guard and drags Comando to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Lozoris avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Lozoris is trying to keep Comando in close.
Lozoris working a defensive guard but Comando manages to pass into side control anyway.
Lozoris tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Comando is working to tighten is grip on Lozoris's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Lozoris has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Comando is really squeezing tight and eventually Lozoris passes out! Comando breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
