PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gennady Mikhasevich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gennady Mikhasevich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brock Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mikhasevich darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Gennady Mikhasevich will probably get the nod.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lesnar connects with a nice short shot to Mikhasevich's temple.

Lesnar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mikhasevich with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Brock Lesnar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Gennady Mikhasevich started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
