The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powders closes the distance and clinches up with Ignition Jr, looking for a takedown. Powders pushes Ignition Jr against the cage but Ignition Jr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ignition Jr uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Powders.
Ignition Jr keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Powders.
Powders ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ignition Jr moves away.

Ignition Jr wants to stand but Powders is controlling the position.
Powders pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ignition Jr is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ignition Jr is looking to stand up but Powders isn't so interested in that idea.
Powders postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ignition Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Powders on the ground.

Powders drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Powders jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Powders drops back looking for a leg! Ignition Jr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ignition Jr manages to kick Powders off! Powders jumps back into Ignition Jr's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Powders is working to tighten is grip on Ignition Jr's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ignition Jr has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Powders is really squeezing tight and eventually Ignition Jr passes out! Powders breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
