The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Awsome gets caught flat footed, as Ruskov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Ruskov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Awsome, up you get!
Awsome ducks under a wild hook from Ruskov.
Awsome uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ruskov.
Awsome's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Awsome duly obliges.
Ruskov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Awsome misses the shot to the body.
Ruskov takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Awsome cracks Ruskov with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Ruskov throws a push kick but Awsome slaps the foot to one side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ruskov is defended easily by Awsome.
Awsome defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ruskov.
Vitor Ruskov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ruskov on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Ruskov shoots in and drives through. Awsome sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vitor Ruskov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Awsome lands a really nice looking cross but Ruskov seems unphased.
Awsome dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ruskov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Awsome paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ruskov has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ruskov there as he acknowledges the shot.
Awsome checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Ruskov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ruskov is breathing heavily.
Awsome scores with a jab. Ruskov acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Miles Awsome is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Awsome throws a right hand that Ruskov ducks under and follows up with a left that Ruskov also avoids with ease.

OH! Ruskov has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Awsome smells blood and charges in for the finish! Awsome unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Ruskov sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
