Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Imer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ban-Ki Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim has chosen Guns N' Roses: Welcome To The Jungle as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Richard Imer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ban-Ki Kim! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Josh West.

Imer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kim looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Kim tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Imer takes a swing at Kim's ribcage but misses. Imer throws a body punch but Kim moves out of range. Imer walks forward, straight into a front kick from Kim. Kim uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Imer. A looping hook to the body misses from Imer. Kim does a little dance to reset his feet. Imer misses the shot to the body. Kim is looking to land body kicks. Kim moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

It looks like Richard Imer has been cut. Imer lands with a right to the head. A head punch blocked on the inside by Kim. Kim pushes off an throws an elbow but Imer leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Come on Kim - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Imer takes an elbow to the forehead. Kim tries to land knees in the clinch but Imer avoids the damage to the body. Imer can't find room to land a body shot as Kim controls the action.
Imer throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kims head. A knee to the head by Kim.

Imer tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Imer misses with a short punch on the inside. Imer lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kim backwards. Imer misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Imer tries to throw a body punch but Kim avoids it by throwing Imer back against the cage. Imer blocks an elbow strike from Kim.

It looks like Ban-Ki Kim has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Imer lands with a short shot to the head. Kim comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Imer tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Imer jumps guard but Kim turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Imer tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Imer. That's going to take a lot out of him. A right hook to the body lands for Kim.
Kim lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Knees in the clinch landing for Kim.
Kim lands an elbow that stopped Imer in his tracks for a moment. Kim throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Kim passes into half guard. Imer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kim is working away from the top position though. Kim is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Kim escapes and gets back to his feet. Kim avoids the body shot from Imer.

Kim throws a solid leg kick but Imer takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kim. Kim walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Imer checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Kim wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Imer keeps the fight on the outside. Imer circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Imer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Imer. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kim wants to stand and escape but Imer is having none of it. Imer trying to control the position from guard on top but Kim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Imer wants to pass the guard but Kim is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ban-Ki Kim will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Imer takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Imer is looking to wear down Kim with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Imer throws a leg kick but Kim checks it. Imer jabbing away but nothing is landing. Imer ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Kim ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Imer scores with a nice strike. Imer lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kim misses with a head kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kim. Kim stuffs the takedown attempt from Imer. Imer gets slowly back to his feet. Kim jabs at Imer's body.

Kim has managed to clinch.

Imer tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kim's elbow. Kim lands a damaging elbow. Kim stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Kim's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Imer is trying to pull guard but Kim turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Kim lands an elbow just above Imer 's eye. Come on Kim - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Imer scores with a hook to the body. Imer lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Imer pulls guard. Kim is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Imer is trying to hold Kim in close to prevent damage but Kim has managed to pass into half guard.
Kim wants to get back to his feet.
Imer moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kim tries to free his leg and advance position but Imer is retaining full guard.

A close second round but Ban-Ki Kim will probably get the nod - 10:9. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Imer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Kim thumps Imer with a low kick. Kim is looking to score with low kicks. Good leg kick by Kim there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kim dodges the punch combination from Imer.
Imer slips a straight right by Kim. Imer keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kim looks to land a body kick but Imer moved away. Imer finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Kim on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Imer has closed the distance and engaged Kim in a clinch.

Ban-Ki Kim seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Imer can't find room to land a body shot as Kim controls the action.
Imer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kim just stands there and leans against the cage. Kim blocks an uppercut.

Both guys are working to get underhooks. A head punch blocked on the inside by Kim. With the fighters up against the cage, Kim throws an elbow but misses. Richard Imer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Ban-Ki Kim. That kick from Kim tenderised Imer's leg. Imer is trying to keep his angry face on. Imer is looking to land body kicks. A looping hook to the body misses from Kim. Imer does a little dance to reset his feet. Imer looks to land a left hand but Kim moved out of range nicely. Imer lands with a hook. Kim tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Kim misses the jab. Ban-Ki Kim is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Kim throws a sloppy head kick and Imer moves out of range easily. Kim checks a leg kick nicely. Kim wants to clinch up but Imer keeps it at a distance. Imer takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Kim will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Imer up against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Imer misses with some punches.
And that's the end of the fight! Ban-Ki Kim comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Kim winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
