Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arjan Haze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Evans might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Like a G6. Arjan Haze has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haze with a lazy takedown attempt

and Evans counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Haze's guard now.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Evans wants to control from the top but Haze keeps moving.

Haze has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Evans can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Evans is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Evans's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
