Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eikichi Onizuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Duddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Onizuka comes into the arena with GTO's Greatest Moments blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Duddy's choice of entrance music: Dropkick Murphys - 'Loyal to No One'. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duddy misses with a low kick.
Onizuka fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Duddy is out of range.
Onizuka thuds his shin into the meat of Duddy's side.
Duddy gets off balance looking for a body kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Onizuka takes a swing at Duddy's ribcage but misses.
Duddy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Duddy on the wrong end of a nice jab.
A big right from Onizuka misses.
Onizuka wants to slow Duddy down by chopping away at his legs.
Onizuka throws a lazy uppercut
and Duddy counters with a stiff right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Onizuka connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Onizuka lands with a shot to the body.
Onizuka throws a leg kick
and Duddy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Onizuka lands a jab to Duddy's midsection.
Onizuka misses with a hook.
Duddy throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Onizuka bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
It looks like John Duddy has been cut.

Onizuka misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Duddy.
A clash of legs there as Duddy blocks the low kick.
Eikichi Onizuka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duddy throws a series of punches but Onizuka moves out of range.
Duddy tries to land a front kick but Onizuka steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Duddy counters with a crisp right hand that drops Onizuka! Duddy lets Onizuka back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Onizuka is rocked!
It looks like Eikichi Onizuka has been cut.
Duddy fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Onizuka square on the jaw! Damn, Onizuka is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Duddy!
John Duddy opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
