Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris Seamon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Houk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Chris Seamon has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Chris Seamon seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chris Seamon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jay Houk! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seamon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Houk moves away. Houk looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Seamon tries to kick Houk off but Houk keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Seamon tries to get to full guard but Houk has control of the leg. Houk seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Houk not landing any meaningful shots this time. Houk is trying to control the action in half guard but Seamon is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Seamon wants to get back to full guard but Houk has mounted him! Houk trying to control but he's not successful this time. Houk dominating with strikes here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Houk misses with a head shot. Houk goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Seamon turns into him and now he's in Houk's guard.
Houk looking for a guillotine here but Seamon defends easily.
Houk working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Seamon. Seamon working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Houk's head. Houk avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Houk is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Seamon has his feet on Houk's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Seamon scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Seamon tries to clinch but Houk moves out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Houk scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Houk throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Houk tries to advance position but instead Seamon slips a leg back in to half guard. Seamon is trying to stand back up but Houk is controlling him
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Houk wants to pass to mount but Seamon is defending the position. Houk prevents Seamon from improving his position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Seamon is positioning himself well to prevent Houk advancing to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Seamon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Seamon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Houk tries to buck Seamon off but Seamon is having none of it. Houk can't do much from the bottom here. Houk tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Seamon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Seamon scoring with punches and elbows. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Houk is working to avoid the ground and pound but Seamon connects with a decent elbow. Seamon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Houk on the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Houk tries to bench press Seamon off him but Seamon keeps the position. Houk takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Seamon landing strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Seamon dominated that round. That's time! Seamon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Seamon looks for a takedown but Houk sprawls well. Seamon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Houk manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Houk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Chris Seamon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Houk prevents Seamon from improving his position. Seamon keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Houk tries to pass the half guard into mount. Seamon knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Seamon keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seamon blocking the ground and pound attempt from Houk. Seamon won't allow Houk to pass to mount. Seamon is not content to let Houk control the position. Houk thows a huge punch but Seamon dodges it nicely.
Houk trying to control from Seamon's half guard. Seamon has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Seamon throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Houk trying to control the position from guard on top but Seamon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Houk controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jay Houk was stalling too much, according to the referee. Seamon fails to land the takedown. Seamon drives through and clinches with Houk against the cage.
Houk gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Seamon.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Seamon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Houk taking a breather.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Houk is trying to break the clinch but Seamon has him pressed against the cage. Houk has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Seamon regains guard immediately. Seamon wants to improve his position but instead Houk has moved into half guard.
Seamon is trying to stand.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Houk wants to control but Seamon is keeping him busy. Houk throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Seamon is trying to stand back up but Houk is controlling him
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Seamon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Seamon wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Houk is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Houk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Seamon walks into a straight right hand from Houk. Seamon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Houk is fending him off so far but Seamon persists. Nope, Houk circles away and we're back to standing. Sloppy strikes from Houk. Those never looked like landing. Seamon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Chris Seamon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Houk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Seamon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Houk as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Seamon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Houk displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Houk gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Seamon manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Houk wants to control from the top but Seamon keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seamon looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Houk trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Houk is looking to work some ground and pound but Seamon has wrist control. Houk loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Houk advances position into side control! Houk misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Houk is looking to take a break and control but Seamon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Seamon is looking for a sweep. Houk tries to stand but Seamon is controlling his head. Seamon is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Houk's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seamon wants to get back to his feet.
Houk is just content to waste time from the top position. Seamon takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Houk pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Seamon is keeping the position for now. Houk prevents Seamon from getting back to his feet. Houk missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Seamon lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Houk! Seamon scoring with strikes but Houk is staying in there. Seamon lands a nice shot to the head. Seamon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Houk takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Seamon goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Houk is on top in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Houk looking to sit in guard and control but Seamon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chris Seamon. I think Seamon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
