Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mario Guevera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jong Il (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mario Guevera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jong Il!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Il tries for a takedown but Guevera circles away easily

and Guevera counters with a single leg into guard. Il didn't expect that.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Guevera missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guevera in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Il is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Guevera throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Il works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Il had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Guevera defends it easily.

Il has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Guevera can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Il is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Guevera defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Il looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Guevera lands a couple of digs.
Guevera won't allow Il to sweep him here.
Guevera throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Il works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Il is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Guevera gets full guard.

Guevera is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Il rolls with it to try and escape but Guevera cranks on the arm and Il is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
