PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eye Gouger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sailo Damtea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damtea is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ne Compare Pas (GSP Entrance Song). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eye Gouger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sailo Damtea!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damtea tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gouger smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Gouger throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gouger throws a nice looking combination but Damtea bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gouger looks to throw the jab but Damtea is out of range.

Damtea clinches with his opponent.
Gouger blocking some punches.
Damtea softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Damtea.
Damtea lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Damtea is working Gouger over against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Damtea working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Damtea lands with a short shot to the head.
Damtea lands a shoulder strike.
Damtea lands an uppercut.

Damtea pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Damtea clinches up with Gouger and pushes him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gouger is looking to control Damtea's arms but Damtea gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gouger has his back to the cage.
Damtea lands a left hand.
Gouger blocking some punches.

Damtea escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Gouger tries to keep at a distance but Damtea has taken the fight into the clinch.
Damtea lands a hook to the side of the head.
Damtea lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gouger backwards.

Gouger is rocked!
A head punch on the inside from Damtea fails to land.
Damtea misses with a punch on the inside.
Damtea lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Oh Gouger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Damtea.
Gouger blocks an uppercut.
Gouger blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Gouger blocking some punches.
Damtea misses with a hook from the clinch.

Damtea breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Damtea lands a nice shot to the body.
Gouger is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Damtea clinches.
Damtea tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Damtea misses with the head strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Damtea.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Gouger.
Gouger blocks an uppercut.
Damtea throws a head punch that misses.
Gouger is looking to break free of the clinch but Damtea has double underhooks.
Damtea misses with the head strike.

Damtea breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gouger blocks a head kick by Damtea.
Damtea looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Damtea backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Gouger's temple! It sends Gouger violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Damtea celebrates and the doctors try to help Gouger!
