Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Edmundo Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Metal Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ripper has chosen Sabaton - Metal ripper as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Edmundo Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Metal Ripper! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ripper chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Jr has his takedown stuffed and Ripper counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Jr misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jr shoots in and gets a takedown into Ripper's guard. Ripper working for submissions but it's allowed Jr to get to half guard.
Jr throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ripper is trying to maintain the position but Jr is very close to passing his half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ripper gets full guard. Jr with a nice head shot there. Ripper is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ripper is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jr trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ripper utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jr looking to pass the guard. Jr with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Ripper looking for a guillotine here but Jr defends easily.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ripper is adopting a defensive guard. Jr is working Ripper over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ripper working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jr. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ripper is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jr is looking to stand back up but Ripper counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jr. Jr tries to get to full guard but Ripper has control of the leg. Ripper wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jr keeps working. Ripper is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well, if Ripper is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Ripper looking to control but Jr is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ripper can't control as he wanted to and Jr manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Jr controlling the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Edmundo Jr will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ripper misses with a hook. Ripper defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jr. Edmundo Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jr doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ripper counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ripper. Jr is pulling down on Ripper's head. It's preventing any offense from Ripper, at least for the moment. Jr wants to stand but Ripper is controlling the position. Jr keeping moving, preventing Ripper from controlling successfully. Ripper might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jr haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Ripper pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jr is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jr looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jr postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Ripper trying to keep a closed guard but Jr is proving a slippery customer.
Ripper is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ripper has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jr is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ripper. Ripper takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ripper gets back to half guard. Jr working Ripper over with strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Ripper is looking for a sweep. Jr is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jr looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ripper with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Jr working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Jr is just content to waste time from the top position. Ripper takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Jr postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Jr scoring with punches to the head and body. Ripper trying to control the position.

Jr trying to control but Ripper is working from the bottom. Jr working some strikes from top position. Ripper wants to improve his position but instead Jr has moved into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jr prevents Ripper from improving his position. Nice strikes from Jr there. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jr lands a nice short elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jr is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Jr slips a nice elbow through Ripper's hands, connecting with Ripper's forehead. Jr seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Ripper is trying to maintain the position but Jr is very close to passing his half guard. Jr is nestled in close to Ripper, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ripper is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jr's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jr's back! Jr wants to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edmundo Jr dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Ripper fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jr has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Ripper tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jr paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ripper throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ripper slaps away a takedown attempt from Jr, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jr feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ripper is on top in guard.
Jr is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jr holds on and takes a little breather. Ripper wants to control from the top but Jr keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jr wants to stand and escape but Ripper is having none of it.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Edmundo Jr wasn't doing enough on the ground. Jr shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ripper as he avoids it easily. Ripper is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ripper looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jr with a poor takedown and Ripper counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edmundo Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jr looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ripper is fending him off so far but Jr persists. Nope, Ripper circles away and we're back to standing. Ripper stuffs the takedown attempt from Jr. Jr gets slowly back to his feet. Jr fails to land the takedown. Edmundo Jr is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Ripper, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ripper tries to bum rush Jr with a series of wild strikes but Jr uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jr will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. No luck for Jr with that takedown attempt. Jr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ripper tries to avoid it but Jr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ripper to the ground. Ripper escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jr gets the takedown into side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ripper manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Ripper has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jr is working away from the top position though. Jr looks to land a strike but Ripper avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Jr with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Ripper preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jr looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Jr keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ripper's head. Jr scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jr's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jr stays in close to Ripper's body and controls the position. Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Ripper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ripper controls Jr momentarily but Jr frees himself. That's four minutes gone in the round. Ripper is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ripper is working for a kimura but Jr is defending it quite comfortably.
Jr is looking to control Ripper's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jr avoid being mounted? Jr wants to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jr gets back to full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ripper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Edmundo Jr showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jr, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
