The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cunnings shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Cunnings cracks Gonzalez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Cunnings fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gonzalez sprawls well initially but Cunnings persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Cunnings is looking for a kimura but Gonzalez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cunnings to get the leverage.
