1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blake Jackson! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Broderick swats him away and circles back towards the center. Broderick takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Jackson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Broderick to the mat! Broderick manages to get full guard. Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Broderick controlling the position. Jackson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. This has been an exciting period of action! Broderick controlling his opponent. Broderick wants to finish this one by submission but Jackson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Broderick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Broderick is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Jackson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Jackson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Broderick anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Jackson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Broderick slips an arm under Jackson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Broderick has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Broderick is squeezing on Jackson like an anaconda would it's prey. Jackson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
