Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe doesn't manage to clinch there - Gabriel circles away.
Gabriel swings for the body but Doe moves out of range.

Doe closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gabriel's guard.
Gabriel lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Doe!
Doe is bucking up trying to escape but Gabriel cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Gabriel lands a heavy elbow.
Doe is in all sorts of trouble here.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gabriel tries to move into full mount but can't pass Doe's legs.

Gabriel is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Doe has escaped the position, nice work there.

Doe drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gabriel looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gabriel looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gabriel!

Gabriel gets to mount! Doe was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Jacques Gabriel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Doe tries to improve his position but Gabriel has taken his back! Gabriel has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Doe tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Gabriel pushes Doe away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
