Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Toney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Horus Kane! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Toney misses. Kane lands a lovely overhand right. Kane dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Toney swats away the attempt to clinch by Kane. Kane swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kane walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Horus Kane has been cut. Toney looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kane misses with a hook. Toney ducked under it nicely. Kane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kane will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Toney stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Toney wants it to stay on the feet. Kane slips a jab and a cross from Toney.
Toney throws the left hand but Kane avoids the punch easily. Kane misses with a series of wild punches.

James Toney is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane throws a series of punches but Toney moves out of range. Toney stuffs the takedown. Kane pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Toney back to the cage. Kane follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. A jab from Toney misses. Kane slips a jab and a cross from Toney.
Kane throws a low kick, looking for Toney's leg but Toney calmly moves out of range. Toney swings away with a body shot that misses
and Toney takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kane swinging wildly here.
Toney lands with a hook. Kane tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Toney slaps away a takedown attempt from Kane, before circling back to the center of the mat. James Toney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Horus Kane. Toney scores with a jab. Toney throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Toney throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Toney throws a jab but it's blocked by Kane. Kane throws a low kick but Toney avoids it. Toney digs a good hook to Kane's body.
Kane looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Toney swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kane tries to clinch but Toney moves away and Kane takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kane wants to clinch up but Toney keeps it at a distance. Toney ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kane moves away. Nice straight punches there by Toney. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Toney. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kane uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Toney.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kane ducks right into an uppercut from Toney. Kane misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Toney dominated that round. The cut man is working on Horus Kane's cut. That's time! Toney's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kane takes one to the side of the head.
Toney keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A head kick misses from Kane. Kane's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Toney connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kane scrambles back to his feet.
That has opened up Horus Kane's cut even more. Kane tries to land a front kick but Toney steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice takedown defense from Toney. No joy for Kane on that attempt. Toney connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kane. Kane circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Kane is looking to land body kicks. Sloppy strikes from Toney. Those never looked like landing. Jab from Toney.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane fails with an attempt to clinch.
Toney tries to bum rush Kane with a series of wild strikes but Kane uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kane takes a jab right on the kisser.
Kane closes the distance but Toney moves to the side and Toney counters with a crisp right hand that drops Kane! Toney lets Kane back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Kane is rocked!
The cut above Horus Kane's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Kane is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Kane closes the distance and clinches up with Toney, looking for a takedown. Kane pushes Toney against the cage but Toney circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. James Toney is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Toney throws a shot from downtown. Kane moves away and avoids it. Kane misses with a combination
enabling Toney to counter with a crisp jab.
Horus Kane's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane tries to bum rush Toney with a series of wild strikes but Toney uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Toney looks to throw the jab but Kane is out of range. Toney scores with a nice strike.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Horus Kane's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). James Toney! James Toney decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
