Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dennis Pegeant!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pegeant blocks a head kick by Armstrong.
Lee Armstrong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Armstrong wants to clinch but Pegeant slips to the side
and Pegeant counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Pegeant is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Armstrong is just riding it out for now. Pegeant eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Armstrong is looking to control Pegeant's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Armstrong avoid being mounted?
Pegeant is trying for a kimura here. Armstrong looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Pegeant wins by kimura!
