Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Tolbowl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Hades (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tolbowl comes to the cage accompanied by Do Da Stanky Leg. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hades's choice of entrance music: Bon Jovi: Wanted Dead Or Alive. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Tolbowl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Hades!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hades lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Tolbowl tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hades paws at him with a jab and circles away.
No joy there for Hades, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice takedown defense from Hades. No joy for Tolbowl on that attempt.
Hades swings for the body but Tolbowl moves out of range.
Hades moves out of range as Tolbowl strikes.
Hades looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hades avoids the body shot from Tolbowl.
Hades fails to land with a series of punches.
Tolbowl lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Hades throws a right hand that Tolbowl ducks under and follows up with a left that Tolbowl also avoids with ease.
Tolbowl throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hades bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tolbowl's head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hades throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tolbowl on the side of the head.

Hades feints and as Tolbowl raises his hands in defense, Hades changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Tolbowl might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hades is keen to just control but Tolbowl is a slippery customer.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tolbowl checks a leg kick.

Tolbowl fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hades sprawls well initially but Tolbowl persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Tolbowl looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hades with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hades is looking to control Tolbowl's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hades avoid being mounted?
Hades is not content to let Tolbowl control the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Hades throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tolbowl's waist but Tolbowl gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hades off to one side.

Sam Hades showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hades might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Tolbowl haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Hades working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tolbowl doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tolbowl manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
