The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Acevedo slips a jab and a cross from Cole.
Acevedo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! No luck for Acevedo with that takedown attempt. Cole throws a left and a right that both miss
and Acevedo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Acevedo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Cole defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Acevedo. Cole fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Cole falls off balance throwing a combination
and Acevedo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Cole rushes Acevedo and presses him up against the cage. Cole is looking to break free of the clinch but Acevedo has double underhooks. Cole tries to break free but Acevedo pushes him back against the cage. Cole pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. No joy there for Cole, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Acevedo doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cole counters with a lovely shot to the body. Acevedo shoots and misses and Cole counters with a nice body kick. A thudding body kick lands there by Cole!

Cole misses with a straight right. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Acevedo dodges the punch combination from Cole.

Cole tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Acevedo is able to avoid easily. Cole misses with a series of wild punches.

Cole feints a jab promting Acevedo to slip. Cole then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Acevedo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Acevedo lands a head kick!

Tony Acevedo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nick Cole is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Cole throws the kick towards the body but Acevedo avoids it.
