Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carson Battistoni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Peter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carson Battistoni! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, King Peter! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peter slips a jab and a cross from Battistoni.
Battistoni misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Battistoni throws a body punch but Peter moves out of range. Battistoni displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Peter. Peter dodges the punch combination from Battistoni.
Peter staying out of range there. Battistoni throws a looping overhand right but Peter ducks down to avoid it. Battistoni misses with an uppercut. Battistoni jabbing away but nothing is landing. Peter misses with the combination.
Battistoni throws an off balance right hand
and Peter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A decent looking cross lands there for Peter. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Battistoni throws a series of punches but Peter avoids them all with ease. Battistoni swings for the body but Peter moves out of range.
Peter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Battistoni swats him away and circles back towards the center. Peter tries to clinch but Battistoni moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Battistoni looks to land a right hand but Peter moved out of range. Battistoni misses with a double jab.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Peter drops down looking for an ankle pick but Battistoni pulls his leg out and moves away.
Battistoni throws a jab but it's blocked by Peter. Carson Battistoni is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A looping hook to the body misses from Battistoni. Peter does a little dance to reset his feet. Battistoni avoids the head kick by Peter.
Battistoni avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Battistoni throws out a loose jab but Peter uses good head movement to avoid it. Peter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Battistoni sprawls well. Battistoni wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Peter gets slowly back to his feet. Carson Battistoni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Peter. Battistoni throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Peter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Battistoni. Peter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Battistoni.
Peter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Battistoni as he avoids it easily. Peter clinches with his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Battistoni wants to break the clinch but can't.
Peter digs a right hand underneath Battistoni's ribcage. Battistoni let out a lung full of air as it connected. Peter is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Peter manages to pull guard.
Battistoni wanted to stand there but Peter had control of the position. Battistoni knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Peter on the ground. Peter wants to sweep here but Battistoni controlling him for the moment. Battistoni wants to stand but Peter is controlling his posture from full guard. Battistoni has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

We're going to have a standup here because Carson Battistoni wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Peter defending well as Battistoni loads up on a big left hand. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Battistoni throws a lazy right hand but Peter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Battistoni misses with a hook
and Peter counters with a nice body shot. Battistoni takes a swing at Peter's ribcage but misses. Battistoni lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Peter circles away quickly and effectively. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but King Peter will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Peter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Peter fails with the takedown. The fighters circling - Battistoni throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Peter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Battistoni defends it nicely. Carson Battistoni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Peter. Peter staying out of range there. Battistoni misses with a looping right. Battistoni throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Battistoni misses with a body shot.

and Peter counters with a lovely shot to the body. Peter moves out of range of the strikes. A slow jab from Battistoni misses its intended target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peter gets a clinch. Peter manages to pull guard.
Battistoni trying to stand up but can't free himself from Peter's guard. Peter wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Peter scores with a punch to the head.

Battistoni throws a nice looking combination but Peter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Battistoni fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Peter shoots in for a takedown but Battistoni shows good takedown defense. Battistoni lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A decent looking cross lands there for Battistoni. Battistoni misses with a straight right. Peter throws a sloppy head kick and Battistoni moves out of range easily. King Peter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Battistoni throws a hook to the side of Peter's head but Peter sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Peter uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Battistoni. Battistoni looks to score with a jab to the body but Peter is just out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Battistoni throws a lazy uppercut
and Peter moves into the clinch. Battistoni gets underhooks to prevent Peter's takedown attempt.
Peter lands a nice knee to the body. Peter throws an elbow but it misses.
Battistoni wants to get back to striking at distance but Peter won't allow it.
A frustrated look appears on Battistoni's face as he tries to break the clinch. Battistoni is looking to break free of the clinch but Peter has double underhooks. Battistoni wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Peter has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Battistoni avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Battistoni wants to break free but Peter has control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peter is pushing Battistoni up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Battistoni is defending well against a takedown attempt. Peter pulls guard effortlessly. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Peter is on top in guard.
Peter stops Battistoni from standing up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Battistoni avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Carson Battistoni will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Battistoni lands a nice hook to Peter's body. Peter takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Peter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Battistoni. Peter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A looping hook to the body misses from Peter. Battistoni does a little dance to reset his feet. Peter pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Battistoni tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Peter was well out of range. Poor timing from Battistoni. Peter avoids the body shot from Battistoni.
Battistoni lands a glancing blow to the side of Peter's head. Peter misses the jab. Peter has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Battistoni throws a left and a right that both miss
and Peter holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Peter tries to pull guard but Battistoni holds him up against the cage and eventually Peter drops back down to his feet.
Battistoni wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Peter has him pressed against the cage. Peter keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Battistoni's efforts to push away. Peter is looking to control Battistoni's arms but Battistoni gets an underhook and turns him. Now Peter has his back to the cage. Peter jumps guard but Battistoni stands there with Peter around his waist. Peter gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Carson Battistoni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Peter. Peter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Battistoni with a jab. Battistoni misses with a left hand and Peter counters with a stiff right hand. Battistoni misses with a straight right. Battistoni tries to bum rush Peter with a series of wild strikes but Peter uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Peter avoids a punch combination nicely.
Peter tries to clinch but Battistoni moves out of range. Battistoni missing with a left hand there. Peter was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Peter throws a nice outside leg kick. Battistoni scores with a hook. Battistoni throws a right and a left that both miss. Carson Battistoni is winning the standup battle so far. This has been an exciting period of action! Peter fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Battistoni. Peter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Battistoni defends it nicely. Peter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Battistoni is fending him off so far but Peter persists. Nope, Battistoni circles away and we're back to standing. Peter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Battistoni moves out of range of the body kick. Battistoni with a nice cross. Battistoni swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Battistoni fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Battistoni lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Battistoni. Peter does a little dance to reset his feet. Battistoni takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Battistoni scores with a nice strike. Peter closes the distance and lands a one-two. Peter is trying hard to land a takedown here. Battistoni sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Battistoni dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Peter darts in and clinches Battistoni up against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Battistoni can't break the clinch.
Peter tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Battistoni just stands there and leans against the cage. Peter tries to land knees in the clinch but Battistoni avoids the damage to the body. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Battistoni is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Peter gets control of Battistoni's arms and successfully pulls guard. Peter will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Carson Battistoni. I think Battistoni has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
