Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kenshin Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Go Hasegawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenshin Yamamoto!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Go Hasegawa!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hasegawa misses with a takedown attempt

and Yamamoto counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Yamamoto.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kenshin Yamamoto.

Yamamoto remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Yamamoto drops an elbow to the side of Hasegawa's head.

Hasegawa wants to improve his position but Yamamoto is controlling well.
Yamamoto is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yamamoto seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hasegawa for as long as he can get away with.

That's time! Yamamoto's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hasegawa isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Yamamoto stacks Hasegawa on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Yamamoto!

Yamamoto shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hasegawa's guard.

Yamamoto passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hasegawa!

Hasegawa tries to improve his position but Yamamoto has taken his back! Yamamoto has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Hasegawa tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Yamamoto pushes Hasegawa away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
